Orlando International Airport (MCO) is a primary international airport located at 1 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, Orlando, FL. It is the busiest airport in Florida, and the 7th busiest in the United States. It was originally built in 1940 as the McCoy Air Force Base, renamed Orlando International Airport in 1975, and was expanded in 1978, 1984, 2000, and 2017. The fire alarm system was installed in the 2000s, with a network expansion in 2017.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The airport is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel locations are unknown, but are part of an airport-wide network. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The alarm pattern is the slow whoop followed by the default message.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are from EST’s “Genesis” line of products, except when noted.
Most notification appliances are EST GCF-S7VM speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, FIRE lettering, set to 30cd).
Some areas have EST G4F-S7VM speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, FIRE lettering, set to 15cd) with walls nearby.
There are additional EST GCF-S7 speakers (white, ceiling-mount, FIRE lettering) for additional audible coverage.
There are also EST “Integrity” 964-1A-8RW speakers (ceiling-mount, 8”, round, 70V) in one area of the airport.

All pull stations are EST SIGA-278 addressable dual-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Edwards EC-100R reflective beam smoke detectors throughout the airport, wired to SIGA-CT1 addressable modules. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
