Pineridge Apartments is an apartment complex located at 433 Pinestream Place NE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The complex is owned and managed by Boardwalk Residential. The building was built in 1981, and the panel was upgraded in 2021. Additionally, devices have been replaced as deficiencies occur.

System Specifications (2021-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Kidde VS4 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule, and is equipped with multiple Kidde RZI16-2 zone cards to accommodate the conventional system technology. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bells (6' gong).
The following bells were installed as deficiency replacements:

  • Mircom BL-6 motor bell (6” gong) in the lobby
  • Mircom BL-6A motor bell (6” gong) in the second floor hallway
  • Mircom BL-6B motor bell (6” gong) in the fourth floor hallway.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations.
Some areas have Edwards 275-C111 conventional single-action pull stations, which replaced recalled Edwards pull stations.
Other areas have Tyco/Grinnell MS-401GR conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the entryway of all suites, and in common area closets and mechanical/electrical rooms.
Some units have System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors as deficiency replacements.
One unit has a Potter CR-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector as a deficiency replacement.
All common areas have System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors.
Some laundry rooms have Edwards 245A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
