Pratts Food Service is a Winnipeg-based food distribution company. This page will cover the Alberta warehouse, located at 291196 Wagon Wheel Road, in Rocky View, Alberta, Canada. The warehouse was built in 2012, and was expanded in the late 2010s. The fire alarm system is original to each area.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by an EST iO500 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Booster Panels

There is an Edwards BPS6C booster power supply in the expansion electrical room.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
The expansion loading dock has Edwards G1AVRF horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, FIRE marking, set to 15cd).
One area has Edwards GCAVWF horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, FIRE marking, set to 15cd).
The freezer has Edwards WG4RF-HVMC weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, FIRE marking).
For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards “Integrity” 757-5A-T horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, 15cd) outside the main electrical room.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
The freezer has Edwards 270-SPOW conventional single-action pull stations, wired to EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules. The modules are located in the expansion electrical room.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors at the top of each stairwell.
Most are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases; one is mounted on an EST SIGA-IB isolator base.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT2 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the kitchen suppression system.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits supervised by monitor modules, and all signal circuits.
