The 'Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre West Edmonton is a hotel and conference centre located at 13085 Stony Plain Road NW, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The hotel was built in three phases: The Inn (1979), The Banquet Hall (1985), and The Tower (1988). The fire alarm system is partially original.
System Specifications
FACP
The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the CACF Room. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. Please see the Sequence of Operation for system coding info.
Annunciators
There is a Mircom RAX-LCD annunciator at the banquet hall entrance.
Notification Appliances
The inn
Most notification appliances are Mirtone 74328 vibrating bells (6" gong).
The basement and lounge have Edwards "Durabel" 6100D vibrating bells (6" gong).
The kitchen has Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong).
The main lobby and part of the second floor have Siemens MBDC-6C motor bells (6" gong) as deficiency replacements.
There is one Edwards "Adaptabel" 343D vibrating bell (6" gong) on the 1st floor.
There are Mircom BL-6B motor bells (6" gong) on the 1st and 3rd floor (1 unit per floor) as deficiency replacements.
Banquet Hall
Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong).
Some areas have Mircom BL-10A motor bells (10" gong) as deficiency replacements.
The Tower
All notification appliances but one are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong).
There is one Mircom BL-10B motor bell (10" gong) in the 2005 renovation area as a deficiency replacement.

Pull Stations
Most pull stations throughout all phases are Edwards 270-GAO conventional dual-action pull stations.
The Inn has one Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull station in the basement storage room, and one Notifier MPS-950KB conventional two-stage single-action pull station on the 2nd floor.
The Banquet Hall has a Mircom MS-402 conventional two-stage single-action pull station in the Burgundy Room as a deficiency replacement.
The Tower has Mircom MS-402AD addressable two-stage single-action pull stations on the main floor.

The Inn
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all corridors.
There are Mircom MIX-2251TMBA addressable photoelectric smoke/135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the office area, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are Edwards 245A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all storage rooms, and the kitchen.
There are a mix of System Sensor 5601A and FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all suites.
There are a mix of System Sensor 5604A conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detectors and FDD CF-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the kitchen as deficiency replacements.
Banquet Hall
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the phase.
The Tower
There are Mircom MIX-2251BA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the main floor hallway.
There are Mircom MIX-5251BA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all main floor suites.
All aforementioned detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the upper floor corridors.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the garbage room and some housekeeping rooms.
There are a mix of the following heat detectors in all guest rooms: System Sensor 5601A, Mircom TD-135, Potter CF-135W, Edwards 245A and Edwards 281A.
There are System Sensor 5604A conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the boiler room.
There is an Edwards "SuperDuct" SD-2W conventional photoelectric smoke detector on the makeup air unit.

There are Mircom MIX-M500MAPA addressable monitor modules for fire pump monitoring.
