Raintree Village is an apartment complex located at 6651 Ranchview Dr NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The complex is owned and operated by Shelter Canadian Properties. This page will cover Building B. The building was built in 1977, and the fire alarm system was partially upgraded in the 2010s.

The building is protected by a Simplex 4007ES conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance of B2. The system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
These are located in all corridors; there are no insuite devices on this system.

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Simplex 2099-9754 conventional single-action pull station as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex "TrueAlarm" 4098-9601 conventional photoelectric smoke detectors in the corridors on each floor.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors at the top of all stairwells but one; the remaining stairwell has a System Sensor 5604A conventional 194°F fixed-temperature heat detector.
There are FDD CF-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all boiler rooms.
There are FDD CF-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all laundry rooms.
