Raintree Village is an apartment complex located at 6651 Ranchview Dr NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The complex is owned and operated by Shelter Canadian Properties. This page will cover Building D. The building was built in 1977, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with replacement parts installed as deficiencies occur.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FA-1025T conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance of D2. The system coding is continuous.
This panel replaced an Edwards 2280 in the 2000s.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances but one are Edwards "Adaptabel" 343D vibrating bells (10" gong).
There is one Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10" gong) as a deficiency replacement.
Bells are located throughout the corridors; there are no notification appliances in the suites.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.

There is a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station on the second floor of D2 as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors in the corridors on each floor.
There are Potter CF-200W conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all mechanical rooms.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors at the top of all stairwells but one.
There is a Fire-Lite CHD-81 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector at the top of one stairwell.
There are Mirtone 73330 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all electrical and some laundry rooms.
There are FDD CF-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in some laundry rooms.

EOLs

End of line resistors are mounted in devices; there are no plates on this system.
