The Renfrew Community Association is a community centre located at 811 Radford Road NE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1964, and the fire alarm system was installed in the 1980s, with some system upgrades occurring in 2015. Additionally, replacement parts have been installed as deficiencies occur.

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards FireShield Plus FSP1004G conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the stairwell, at the main entrance. The system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd) mounted on Edwards G1TR trim plates.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9201 conventional single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Potter CR-135W conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors throughout most areas.
Some areas have Simplex 4255-51 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
The main floor elevator lobby and basement men's washroom have System Sensor 5601A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors, installed as deficiency replacements in January 2025.
There are Edwards C2M-PD conventional photoelectric smoke detectors at the top of each stairwell.

EOLs

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
