Safeway Canada is a chain of grocery stores owned by Sobeys. This particular location is located at 304 Fifth Ave, Cochrane, Alberta. The store opened in 2000, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

The system also supervises Safeway Liquor.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The store is protected by a Simplex 4100ES conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the Safeway entrance vestibule. The system coding is temporal.

The 4100ES replaced the original Edwards EST2 in 2016.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Simplex 4603-9101 LCD annunciator in the entrance of the Liquor store.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

The notification appliances in the Safeway are Mirtone "Integrity" INT-5AT horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).

In the liquor store, there is an EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd) on the ceiling.

For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd) as a deficiency replacement for the original Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6" gong) in 2017.
