The building is protected by a 120VAC hardwired fire alarm system, with bells and initiating devices wired in series. The system coding is continuous.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are System Sensor SSV120-6A vibrating bells (6" gong).
There is one Edwards "Durabel" 6000D vibrating bell (6" gong) in the lobby; the only original bell remaining.

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
The following pull stations were installed as deficiency replacements:
- Numerous Edwards 270-SPOE conventional single-action pull stations in the basement dining hall.
- Secutron MRM-MPG1A conventional single-action pull station in school basement
- Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station in the gym
