Telus Sky is a high-rise commercial/residential building located at 685 Centre St S in Downtown Calgary, Alberta. It is the third tallest building in the city of Calgary, and the 22nd tallest building in Canada. It was completed in 2020, and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 networked addressable fire alarm system. All nodes are Simplex 4100ES addressable panels. The system runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice-evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation. It is unknown what tones or messages the system plays.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4902-9721CA speakers (white, ceiling-mount).
Some corridors have Simplex 4902-9717CA speakers (white, wall-mount), while others have 4902-9716CA speakers (red, wall-mount).
The mechanical rooms, however, have Simplex 4906-9151 speaker/strobes (red, wall mount, set to 15cd)

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, along with some Simplex 4098-9734 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
All detectors are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
