The Circle at Seton is an apartment complex owned and operated by Boardwalk. This page will cover Buildings 1126 and 1130, located at 1126 and 1130 Seton Circle SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Building 1130 was built in 2021, and 1126 was built in 2022. The fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications (2021-present)

FACP

The buildings are protected by an Edwards EST3X addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the parkade mechanical room. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Booster Panels

There are EST APS10A 10-amp power supplies located in electrical rooms on some floors.

There are EST BPS6A 6-amp booster power supplies in some electrical rooms.

Annunciators

There are EST RLCD-C LCD annunciators paired with EST RLED24 LED annunciators in each entrance vestibule, mounted in RA-ENC2 enclosures.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are from Edwards’ “Genesis LED” line of products.
The parkade and the corridors of building 1130 have Edwards G1AVRN horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Some areas of the parkade have Edwards G1VRN remote strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
The corridors of building 1126 have Edwards G1AVWN horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).
Each suite has an Edwards G1VWF remote strobe (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 110cd) in the living areas, and an Edwards 683-1C mini-horn (white, silenceable) in each bedroom.
For exterior notification, there is an Edwards CS405-7A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, 15/75cd) outside the entrance of 1130.

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Edwards SIGA-OSD addressable optical smoke detectors throughout the corridors and in the elevator shafts, mounted on SIGA-SB bases.
The mechanical room has an Edwards SIGA-COD addressable carbon monoxide detector, mounted on a SIGA-AB4G sounder base, which sounds in temporal 4-4 when activated.
There are EST "SuperDuct" SIGA-SD addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on each building’s make-up air unit.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT2 addressable dual-input monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are Edwards SIGA-CR addressable relay modules for HVAC shutdown and elevator recall.
Each SLC has an Edwards SIGA-IM isolator module.
