The Kildare is a 2 story walkup + basement apartment building located in at 740 15 Ave SW, Calgary, AB. It was built in 1959, and the fire alarm system was installed in the early 1970s.

System Specifications

The building is protected by a 120V hardwired fire alarm system, with bells and initiating devices wired in series. The system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances consist of Edwards "Durabel" 6000D (6" gong) 120VAC vibrating bells.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The pull stations are mostly Edwards 270-SPO single action pull stations, with one Edwards 270-GAO two-stage pull station, which was likely in the truck at the time of installation despite not being two-stage.

There is also a newer Mircom MS-401 likely installed sometime in the 2000s as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

As with most 120VAC apartment systems, this one has American Sensor ESA5011 120V hardwired smoke detectors with an internal relay.
