Tuscany Station is a CTrain light rail station on the red line for Calgary Transit. It is the newest train station built, and is located near Tuscany, NW Calgary. It is the end-of-line station for the Red Line. The station opened in 2014, and has the original fire alarm system.

System Specifications (2014-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The station is protected by an EST QuickStart QS1 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in an electrical room. The system runs EST's Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is an EST QS1-CPU-1 annunciator and SL30 card in a QSA-1-S cabinet on the top floor.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All indoor notification appliances are EST "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no lettering, set to 15cd). There are six of them.

For outdoor notification, there is an EST "Integrity" CS405-7A-T weatherproof remote strobe (red, 15/75cd, no FIRE lens), above the entrance.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are two EST SIGA-IPHSB (black) 4D addressable multisensor detectors. They can detect smoke (ionization and photoelectric) and heat. They are mounted on SIGA-SB bases, covered with SIGA-TSB trims. There is no sprinkler system.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
