The University of Calgary is a public research university in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover the annexing tunnel between Science A and MacEwan Student Centre. The tunnel was completed around 1995, and the fire alarm system is original, with a panel upgrade in 2021.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES conventional fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system is equipped with voice-evacuation. The evacuation signal is slow whoop followed by the default message.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Wheelock E-7025-LSM-24 speaker/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd), mounted on the ceiling with custom ceiling “FIRE” labels.

All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9754 conventional single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Simplex 2098-9201 conventional photoelectric smoke detectors. There are Simplex 4098-9605 reduced-sensitivity photoelectric smoke detectors, mounted on 4098-9788 bases as deficiency replacements.

There are Simplex 2081-9019C end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
