White Hall Day Care & Out-of-School Care is a daycare company with two locations. This page will cover the North End location, located at 3304 119 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB. It was built in 1977, and the fire alarm system is original, with parts replaced as deficiencies occur.
System Specifications (1977-present)
The building is protected by a 3-wire 120V hardwired fire alarm system, so there is no panel.
Notification Appliances
The main floor has an Edwards “Durabel” 6000D vibrating bell (10” gong).
The top floor has two Edwards “Adaptabel” 340D vibrating bells (6” gong), one at the top of the stairwell, and the other in the classroom.

Pull Stations
All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
Some areas have American Sensors ESA4011 120VAC ionization smoke detectors.
The kitchen has an original Edwards 245A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector.
The following heat detectors were installed as deficiency replacements:
- Edwards 281C conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the upstairs classroom
- Two Mircom TD-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors, one in the upstairs classroom and one in the “quiet room”
- FDD CR135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in stairwell.
