Willow Lodge is a Suncor camp located in Wood Buffalo, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover Building Q1, which is a dormitory building. The building was built in 2003, and the fire alarm system is mostly original, with an FACP replacement occurring in 2023.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the centre hallway exit. The system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All common areas have Mircom FHS-400-WW horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
All dorm rooms have Mircom FS-400-RR remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) paired with Mircom MH-S25WA silenceable mini-horns (white).

Pull Stations

There are three pull stations on this system: a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station by the exit, an Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull station by the entrance, and a Simplex MS-302C conventional two-stage single-action pull station at the centre hallway exit (wired as single-stage).

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Mircom TD-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all storage rooms and some dorm rooms.
There are Simplex 4255-53 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in all other dorms, with one having a Simplex 4255-51 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector.
There is a Simplex 4255-54 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the laundry room.
There is a Mircom TD-200 conventional 200°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the water heater room.
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all corridors.
