Telus Sky is a high-rise commercial/residential building located at 685 Centre St S in Downtown Calgary, Alberta. It is the third tallest building in the city of Calgary, and the 22nd tallest building in Canada. It was built in 2020, and has the original system.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The system is equipped with voice-evacuation, runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. It is unknown what tones or messages the system plays.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4902-9721 speakers (white, ceiling-mount). Some corridors have Simplex 4902-9717 speakers (white, wall-mount), while others have 4902-9716 speakers (red, wall-mount). The mechanical rooms, however, have Simplex 4906-9151 speaker/strobes (red, wall mount, multi-candela, SmartSync)

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, along with some 4098-9734 fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
