System Specifications (1982-present)[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Notifier NOTI-FIRE-NET networked hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. All nodes are Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable panels, and the main node is located in the main electrical room. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and is equipped with the Digital Voice Command (DVC) voice-evacuation system. The system coding is temporal, with the default Notifier voice message.
The NFS2-3030C was installed in 2011, replacing a Notifier AM2020 which in turn replaced the original Mirtone 7900 EVAC in the mid-1990s.
Annunciators[edit | edit source]
There is a Notifier CAB-C3 cabinet with a Notifier LCD-160 annunciator, multiple Notifier ACM-24AT annunciators, an RM-1 microphone and FHS firefighter’s telephone in the main entrance vestibule, installed in 2021.
Booster Panels[edit | edit source]
There is a Notifier PSE-6C 6-amp power supply in the main electrical room for the main floor strobes.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances except the 3rd-9th floors and main floor are the original Mirtone 8” round speakers (model unknown, mounted on walls).
The 3rd to 9th floor have System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SPCWA speakers (white, ceiling-mount), installed in 2016.
The main floor has three notification appliances, all from System Sensor’s “L-Series” line of products:
- System Sensor SPSRLA speaker/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the lobby
- System Sensor SPSCWLA speaker/strobe (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd) in the hallway
- System Sensor SPSRLA-E speaker/strobe (red, wall-mount, English marking, set to 15cd).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
Most pull stations are Sentron 303 conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Mirtone 73201 conventional dual-action pull station in one of the tenants.
The 9th floor has a Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull station and a Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull station, both of which were installed as deficiency replacements.
The main floor has Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors on all upper floors.
The main floor elevator lobby has a Notifier FSP-951A addressable photoelectric smoke detector, mounted on a System Sensor B300A-6 base.
There are FDD CR135 conventional 135°F fixed temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all laundry, electrical and boiler rooms.
There is a Mirtone 73330 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the service entrance.
