622 5th Avenue SW is a multi-use 5-story office building located in the Commercial district of Downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1978, but the system is mostly from 2002.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-200C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in a custodian's closet on the first floor. The system runs Notifier's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal. This panel replaced an Edwards Custom 6500.

Annunciators

There is a Notifier LCD-80 in the main entrance vestibule. It is mounted in the 6500’s cabinet.

Notification Appliances

All areas except the parkade have System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" PC2WA horn/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd). The parkade has System Sensor P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations. Some areas have Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements. The addressable setup of this system is unknown at this time.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors located throughout the facility, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA low-profile bases. The mechanical rooms and some other areas have FDD CR135 conventional fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors. [[Category:Facilitie]
