NOTE: This page is being heavily edited due to a panel change in this fire alarm system. It is also updated every time he gets a new fire alarm device.
YYCsFireAlarmNimrod's Basement (name may be subject to change) is a basement in Calgary, built in 2003. It has a mini fire alarm system owned and serviced by User:YYCsFireAlarmNimrod.
System Specifications
- Note: YYCsFireAlarmNimrod frequently modifies the fire alarm system, hence the "can range from" and "usually consist" parts. He is currently receiving about 30 new parts, which will be used on the system. Although he frequently modifies it, it is always powered up. He can pull the alarm on it any time he wants to without being fined as it is a controlled environment. NEVER pull a fire alarm unless there is actually a fire emergency.
FACP
There are currently two fire alarm panels in this basement. The main fire panel is a Simplex 4010. It came from CJ9899, and controls all notification appliances, three pull stations, and some smoke detectors. It came from Youtuber CJ9899, and was previously owned by MRIDNETGUY2004, and Zachary Fleck. The 4010 was manufactured in 2008. The other panel is the original panel to this basement, a Fire-Lite MS-4. It came from Aden Knowler, and was previously owned by User:Twentytwo22. It was previously used in the Barndominium. It is set up at a table, and is used for testing other devices. It is tied into the 4010, and, when in alarm, causes a supervisory on the 4010. The MS-4 has a charger fault, caused by someone reversing the polarity on the batteries. This was not caused by the current owner. The MS-4 was made in December 2015.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances usually consist of a Simplex 2901-9720 (made 1989/1990) 6 inch motor bell and an EST "Integrity" 202-5A-T remote strobe (made in 1997) The 2901-9720 came out of R.T. Alderman School, and the strobe came out of a Walmart in Cambridge, Ontario. More notification appliances used are an Edwards 892-2B (made 1992) with only the strobe hooked up (the horn failed), EST "Integrity" 757-5A-T horn/strobes (also made in 1997), and recently a Simplex 2901-9722 motor bell, and an EST "Genesis LED" G1-AVRF (red, wall mount, no FIRE marking) horn/strobe. The Integrity devices came from YouTuber CJ9899, and the 2901-9722 also came out of R.T. Alderman School. The Genesis LED horn/strobe came from User:Twentytwo22. Other notification appliances used include a Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9102 (red, ceiling, SmartSync) remote strobe that came new in box, an EST "Integrity" 757-7A-T (red, 15/75 cd) horn/strobe, and two more Simplex 2901-9720 motor bells, but those two came from CJ9899, as well as the TrueAlert strobe and all the Integrity devices.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The pull stations are also changed out sometimes, but they consist of a Simplex 2099-9201 (4251-20), a Simplex 2099-9754, an ADT B5009, an FCI MS-2, but an "EPO & DISCONNECT" variant, which is meant for an emergency stop switch, a Fire-Lite BG-12L, and a GE 270-SPO. The Simplex 2099-9201 came out of R.T. Alderman School, and the GE 270-SPO was from User:Twentytwo22. Other pull stations include two 1990s Edwards 270-SPO pull stations, a rare variant Edwards 270-SPO pull station, an Edwards 275-C111 pull station, a Mircom MS-401 pull station, four Mirtone 73303 pull stations, and an Edwards 270-GAO two-stage pull station. He also owns a Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull station, and two Simplex 4099-9004CB (bilingual, LED light) addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
The automatic detection devices are a Simplex 2098-9110 2-wire ionization smoke detector, an Edwards C2M-PD photoelectric smoke detector, a System Sensor 5601A rate-of-rise/fixed temp heat detector, a System Sensor "i3" C2W-BA photoelectric smoke detector, an Edwards 6249C ionization smoke detector, and an Edwards 281B-PL rate-of-rise/fixed temperature heat detector. The 2098-9110 was used previously, it came out of R.T. Alderman School. Addressable detectors are a Simplex 4098-9714 photoelectric addressable smoke detector, and a Simplex 4098-9734 addressable rate-of-rise heat detector.
