Earls (Dalhousie)

From FireAlarmPedia

Earls is a casual restaurant chain. This location is in Dalhousie, Northwest Calgary. The restaurant was built in 1996, but the fire alarm system is from somewhere around 2005-16. Only two pull stations are original from 1996.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is a Simplex 4006 (4006-9122, beige door with LED annunciator). The panel may have replaced a Notifier System 500. It is located at the front, above some seats for waiting.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are all Simplex "TrueAlert" 4906-9127 (red, wall, SmartSync) horn/strobes. They were installed when the 4006 was installed, but that is from an unknown time. Most likely they replaced System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MC (red, wall) horn/strobes.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

So far, there have only been three pull stations spotted. By the entrance and exit, there are two Notifier NFM-950B pull stations, likely original. In the back where the food is prepared, there is a Mircom MS-401, replacing a pull station that was no longer functioning. It is unknown what the other pull stations are.

Automatic Detection Devices

There is a Simplex 4098-9615 fixed temperature/rate of rise heat detector in the kitchen, and a Simplex 4098-9601 photoelectric smoke detector in the entrance.
