The University of Alberta is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover the Anthony Henday Hall building. The building opened in 1962, and the fire alarm system was fully upgraded in 2021.

System Specifications (2021-present)

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances

All indoor notification appliances are Simplex “TrueAlert” 4906-9154 speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 15cd). For outdoor notification, there are two Wheelock ET-1080R weatherproof remote speakers (red, wall-mount) and two Simplex 4906-9105 weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount) mounted in pairs on each side of the main entrance.
