The fire alarm system was installed around 1993, with a notification appliance upgrade around 2012, and parts replaced as deficiencies occur.

System Specifications (1993-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier CSGL-404 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the basement office area. The system coding is continuous, but the horn/strobes are self-coded temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Mircom “Select-a-Horn/Strobe” FHS-340R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical)

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations, installed in 1980.
There are also Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations installed with the upgrade.
There are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135॰F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in most rooms of the building.
Some areas have System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors.
There is a System Sensor 1400A conventional ionization smoke detector in one stairwell.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
