The Arch is a high-rise apartment building located at 1115 9 St SW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building is owned and operated by Boardwalk. The building was built in 2015, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the fire control room, behind the mail room on the main floor. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, and is equipped with Mircom's QX-5000 voice evacuation system. The evacuation signal is a temporal tone.

Booster Panels

There are Mircom BPS-1100 11-amp booster power supplies in the electrical rooms on the 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th and 23rd floors.

Notification Appliances

All common areas have System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SPSCWA speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V/15cd).
All suite bedrooms have Mircom SP-404-70A remote speakers (white, 4" square) equipped with Mircom SSW-100 silence switches.
All stairwells have Mircom SP-204A-70W remote speakers (white, 4" square).

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in all corridors, at the top and on every third floor of each stairwell, and in all elevator lobbies.
There are Mircom MIX-5251RAPA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors at the top of each elevator shaft.
All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
There are System Sensor "InnovAir Flex" DNRA duct smoke detector housings equipped with Mircom MIX-2251APA addressable photoelectric heads on all makeup air units.

Firefighter's Telephones

There are Mircom FT-300A fire phones at each stairwell on each floor.
