Airport Corporate Centre is an office building located at 1601 Airport Road NE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building is owned by the Calgary Airport Authority, and is managed by GroupThree. The building was built in 1999, and the fire alarm system is mostly original.

System Specifications

Please note that this system is not connected to the Calgary International Airport.

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4100+ Miniplex addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the basement mezzanine data room. The system runs Simplex's MAPNET II addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The alert signal coding is 20BPM, and the alarm signal coding is continuous.

Annunciators

There are Simplex 4603-9101 annunciators in the main entrance vestibule and the IOC TV room.

Booster Panels

There is a Simplex 4009 addressable booster power supply in the 2nd floor electrical room.

Notification Appliances

Most notification appliances are Simplex 2901-9724 motor bells (10" gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-2415W-FR strobe plates (red, 15cd).
Some areas have GS/Edwards MB10-24 motor bells (10" gong).
Some areas have Edwards 439D-10AWC motor bells (10" gong) as deficiency replacements.
Some areas have Simplex 2901-9723 motor bells (6" gong) mounted on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW-FR strobe plates (red, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 2099-9123C addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex 4098-9701C and Simplex 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in some areas.
There are Simplex 4098-9731 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors at the top of each elevator shaft.
All older detectors are mounted on Simplex 2098-9651 bases, while all newer devices are mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
There are Simplex 4098-9703 addressable photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units.

Modules

There are Simplex 2190-9172C addressable monitor modules supervising the fire pump and generator's run/trouble contacts, and the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
One flow switch is supervised by a Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor module.
There are Simplex 2190-9163 addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs

There are Simplex 2081-9039C end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
There is a Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plate on the sprinkler circuit supervised by the 4090-series module.
All other monitored circuits utilize the internal EOLs on their monitor modules.
