Trico Centre for Family Wellness (or simply Trico Centre, also called Family Leisure Centre), is a recreation complex in the Southeast Calgary community of Willow Park. It was built in 1982, but the fire alarm system is not original, most of it is from the 2000s.
System Specifications
FACP
The fire alarm panel is a Kidde VS4, installed in 2019 as the replacement panel for an EST QuickStart QS4, likely due to a CPU fault. The panel is located on the ramp to the second floor.
Annunciators
There is a Kidde K-RLCD-C annunciator and a K-RLED24 LED annunciator near the main entrance.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells on 403-5A-R strobe plates. The men's locker room has a Mircom BL-10B motor bell on a Mircom strobe plate (model number to be confirmed), replacing an Edwards bell/strobe combo that failed.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The main pull stations are a mix of EST SIGA-270 addressable pull stations, and Edwards 270-SPO pull stations, from each era from and newer than the 1980s generation, originally as replacements for the original pull stations. The original pull stations were likely Edwards 274-111 pull stations, as the pool had these prior to the renovation. They were replaced due to being conventional, and the Kidde VS4 being fully addressable.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
Bonus Information
For the wave pool warning system, there is a Wheelock MT-12/24-W multi-tone horn set on slow whoop for when the waves are about to start.
