‘’’Wingate’’’ is a chain of lower-midrange hotels owned by Wyndham. They have locations in several countries, and are headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. This particular hotel is located in Lethbridge, Alberta. The hotel opened in 2000 as a Holiday Inn Express, but became a Wingate property in 2020, following the opening of a brand new Holiday Inn Express on the South side of town. The fire alarm system is mostly original.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by an EST2 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the main entrance. The panel model is unconfirmed, as memory of the panel is quite vague. The system runs EST’s Signature-series addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

All public areas of the hotel have General Signal MB10-24 motor bells (10” gong) on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd). The guest rooms have Edwards 683-1CR mini horns (red, wall-mount, silenceable), along with Edwards 202-8A-T (red, wall-mount, 15cd) in handicap rooms.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
