Astoria Hotel is a 2-star hotel located at 404 Connaught Dr in Jasper, AB. The hotel was built in 1925, and was renovated in 1995 which also added the De'd Dog Bar & Grill. The fire alarm system is not original.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by a Mircom FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main lobby, next to the doors to De'd Dog Bar & Grill. It replaced a Mirtone 7800 in 2015. The system coding is most likely temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances except one are Mirtone 74306 vibrating bells (10" gong). These were left over from the previous system. In the De'd Dog Bar & Grill, there is a Wheelock MBS-G10-24 motor bell/strobe (10" gong, 1.5cd), installed in 1995.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Mircom MS-401 conventional pull stations. These were installed in 2018 along with the FA-1000, despite it being conventional. The De'd Dog Bar & Grill has a Notifier NFM-950B, which is the only pull station that remained.

Automatic Detection Devices

All smoke detectors are Mircom MIR-1400A 2-wire ionization smoke detectors. There is one FDD CR135 fixed-temperature heat detector in De'd Dog.

Former System Specifications

FACP

The hotel was protected by a Mirtone 7800 conventional fire alarm system. The panel was located in the main lobby. The system coding was continuous. The panel was replaced in 2015 with a new Mircom FA-1000.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances were the Mirtone 74306 vibrating bells and Wheelock MBS-G10-24 motor bell/strobe that are still installed.
