Mission Centre is an office tower located at 2303 4 Street Southwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1974, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2021.

FACP

The building is protected by a Kidde VS4 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the parkade electrical room. The system runs Kidde’s GSA addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is a Kidde K-RLCD-C annunciator paired with a Kidde K-RLED24 annunciator behind the security desk. Both annunciators are mounted in a Kidde RA-ENC2 annunciator enclosure.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1AVRF horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

Most pull stations are Vigilant GSA-M270 addressable single-action pull stations. Some areas have Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations, remaining from the previous system.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Kidde KI-PD addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Kidde KI-SB bases. The parkade has FDD CF-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors.
