Centre Mountain Lellum Middle School is a middle school located at 3090 Constellation Avenue, in Langford, British Columbia, Canada. The school is owned and operated by the Sooke School District. The school opened in 2022, and the fire alarm system is original. This system is networked to Constellation Ave. Schools Central Plant and PEXSISEN Elementary School.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Notifier LCD2-80 annunciator and a custom graphic annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

Boosters[edit | edit source]

There is a Notifier PS10C booster power supply in the main electrical room.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).

The classrooms, boiler room, exercise room and half of the gymnasium have System Sensor HRLA remote horns (red, wall-mount).

The washrooms have System Sensor SRLA remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

For outdoor notification, there is a System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SRKA-B weatherproof remote strobe (red, wall-mount, blue lens) outside the main entrance, as well as two System Sensor SRKA weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount) on a balcony.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations except the gymnasium devices are Notifier N-MPS-SA addressable single-action pull stations.

The gymnasium has Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations equipped with Notifier MPS-DALK dual-action conversion kits and wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-951A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, and there are Notifier FST-951A addressable fixed-temperature heat detectors in the foods room, electrical rooms and storage rooms. These detectors are mounted on System Sensor B300A-6 bases.

The wood shop has Notifier FSCO-951A addressable photoelectric smoke/carbon monoxide detectors mounted on System Sensor B200SRA bases. These sounder bases do Temporal 4 for carbon monoxide, and sound in temporal for fire.

There are System Sensor D1420A conventional photoelectric duct smoke detectors on all air handling units, wired to Notifier FZM-1A addressable monitor modules.

The atriums have Notifier FS-OSI-RIA addressable beam detectors connected to System Sensor RTS151KEY-A test switches.

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.

There is a Notifier FRM-1A addressable relay module shutting down the Carehawk public address system.

There are Notifier ISO-XA isolator modules on all SLCs.

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
