Walmart is a chain of big box stores across the world. This particular store is located at 6110 Currents Drive NW, Edmonton, Alberta. The store opened in 2009, and the fire alarm system is original, with a panel upgrade in 2023. The building also houses Planet Fitness.

FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by an Edwards iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards’ Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
The iO1000 replaced the original EST QuickStart QS1 in 2023.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All indoor notification appliances are from EST’s “Genesis” line of products.
The main notification appliances are EST G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd), and also EST G1-VM remote strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).. These are mounted on poles in groups of 4, with two horn/strobes opposite each other, and two strobes opposite each other. The aforementioned horn/strobes are also installed by exits.
For exterior notification, there is an EST “Integrity” 757-7A-T horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) outside the mechanical room.

There are EST SIGA-IM isolator modules on each SLC.
